Waterproofing Lead Products

Lead membranes and lead pans, properly installed; provide an impermeable moisture barrier, which will last as long as the most permanent buildings. As a lining for reflecting pools, plant boxes, and fountains, sheet lead provides waterproofing of the highest quality.

Lead specified should be 4 lb., 6 lb., or 8 lb. per square foot weight equivalent to 1/16, 3/32, or 1 /8 inch thicknesses. The lightest weight for small, less critical areas such as shower stalls; the heavier weights for larger areas such as reflecting pools where the safety factor required is of a higher degree.
